I am currently enrolled in Technology and Contemporary Communication (CST515) and Media Critism (COM509) as part of the requirements for a master's degree in Contemporty Communications at the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. My focus is Business Communications. By the end of the Spring 2010 semester I will have earned 27 of the 33 credits required for graduation. I completed undergraduate studies in Business Management with a second concentration in Marketing Management also from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland in the spring of 2008. I began my graduate studies in the fall semester immediately following graduation.
I have been employed with Baltimore City government for 23 years beginning in 1987 as an Office Assistant II with the Department of Education. In 1994, I was promoted to the Department of Recreation and Parks in the position of Office Assistant III. In 2006, I was promoted to my current position of Office Manager also with the the Department of Recreation and Parks. I am hopeful that I will earn a third promotion after
After graduation from the Contemporary Communications Program I plan to pursue a postion that will allow me to further my knowledge and develop skills in I am interested in a pursuing employment in environments including administration, business communications, marketing & promotions, major gifts & fundraising, media and public relations, and partnership development. While I am hopeful that I will find a position with Baltimore City Government, I also plan to keep my options open to considering positions outside of Baltimore City government as well.
