I am enrolled in CST 515 Technology and Communication, as part of the requirements for a master's degree in Contemporary Communications. I am preparing to submit my thesis proposal in March and I plan to complete my degree in December. My favorite courses have been Business Ethics, Film Themes: Hitchcock Thriller's, and Human Communication Research. I also completed a study abroad course in January 2009 to England. The course and trip were one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I feel CST 515 will help enhance my use of technology to make me a better student and employee.

I have an undergraduate degree in Communication Studies from Towson University. I have worked at a bank and presently work at the College of Southern Maryland (CSM) as a Career and Academic Advisor. My role is one part of the overall college environment and requires constant communication with students, instructors and department chairs, student services departments, other colleges, affinity groups, and professional organizations. The most interesting part of my job is working with students. I really enjoy talking with them and helping them reach their goals.

I am pursuing a master's degree to work in the field of teaching to further my knowledge of contemporary communications and computer studies. My career goal is to become a college professor of communications. I feel this degree program has helped me to have a better understanding of contemporary communications. This field of study is very interesting to me because of the many possibilities I will have as a professor. Within this degree, I have taken courses with subject matter that I have never learned before. This experience has been very enlightening.
