I am enrolled in CST 515 Technology and Communcation as part of the requirements
for a master's degree in Contemporary Communication.
I have an undergraduate degree in Art with concentration in Graphic
Design from Radford University. I acquired my BS degree in 2005.
Prior to that, I attended Harford Community College and graduated with an
AAS degree in Digital Communication in 2003. I plan to conclude my graduate
degree with Notre Dame the winter of 2011.
I currently work for the federal government as a graphic specialist. I have
been working with the government since 2002. I first started working at
Aberdeen Proving Ground as an intern. Once I completed school, I became a
contractor in 2005 and have since been “promoted” to a government employee
as of February 2008.
I am pursuing a master’s degree to further enhance my educational knowledge
and advance my skills both inside and outside the workplace. The classes I
have taken through the college thus far are ones that have helped me to grow
as a professional. I hope to become a team leader or manager in the near
future. The classes I am taking now are helping me form the knowledge that
will come in handy once I am promoted to a higher grade.

My hobbies include:
- Baking: I have found a new love for baking cupcakes for my friends and family. I am now known as the baker of the family. I make a
pretty mean pound cake with a lemon glaze from scratch... or so I am told!
- Creating artwork: I like all realms of art: photography, painting, sculpting. It is no surprise to my family that I received my
degree in an artistic field. Now if I could only make good money with photography and baking, maybe even fusing the two, my retirement plan will be in effect...
- Digital Photography: I started my love/hate relationship with photography when I was in elementary school. The love part comes
from the joy I get from capturing a moment in time and the ability to remember it forever. The hate part comes from my timing being off!
I always wish for happy accidents when taking action photos. The picture below is a great example of a happy accident. Meet Vito and his trusty turtle!
