About Me
Hello and welcome to my Homepage! My name is Stefanie Chisolm and I recently received my Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design/ Photography at College of Notre Dame of Maryland in May of 2009. Currently, I am studying for my Master's Degree in the Contemporary Communications graduate program that is also offered here at CND. With possession of this degree, I plan to become a technology/design master by the end of December of 2010, my expected graduation date. As an enthusiastic and innovative artist, I enjoy completing projects through multiple approaches by working in mediums that involve painting, drawing, print production, and photographic techniques. I also have a great interest in webpage/ website design, and application development. There's just something really cool about having 'strict' guidelines when coding for a page and having the ability to go your own direction, and creatively design something unique, by breaking the rules you initially started with!
I currently work for a local grocer/caterer in Pasadena, MD known as Angel's Food Market. With loads of customer relationship management experience, I have been able to cater to clients both personally and publicly through multiple means. I have mastered the ability to create beautiful catering displays that emulate the client's personal theme for their special occasion, as well as the ability to design workable and effective merchandising displays within the store itself. I love creating displays from a simple concept and watching it flourish into something admirable according to fellow employees', employers', and most importantly, customers' reactions.
As a junior graphic/web designer, I desire to gain skill in every technical and conceptual arena even remotely related to my particular artistic interests. I feel it is necessary to understand the basics of software technologies in order to implement the client's message visually. To date, my portfolio is a progressive work that is currently overridden with print/graphical material. With classes such as CST 515-90, I hope to be able to build upon, and sharpen my skills in the area of multimedia with the implementation of HTML and Adobe Flash CS3. Wanna see what I'm working on? My Hobbies Are:
- Drawing and Sketching, which I have actively done since I was a little girl
- Taking photographs, with both my digital and my 35mm cameras
- Creating logos and business cards for friends and family, which helps me brush up on my graphic design skills
- Taking vacations somewhere warm and relaxing...like Florida!
- And last but not least...eating chocolate!!!
